GRANERO Software - Late-sown maize and maize in double crops

GRANERO is an interactive system designed for assisting management of late-sown maize and maize in a double-crop sequence (sown immediately after harvest of a winter crop).

The main objective of this tool is to assist the on-farm decision process, by including climate and soil variations in probabilistic terms.

The software combines crop physiology and management concepts with the use of Agronomic Crop Simulation Modeling in different scenarios. Users can:

GRANERO was developed by members of the Crop Production and Cereals units of the Faculty of Agronomy of UBA, and presented at Mundo Agro 2002. It is freeware and can be downloaded at sites.google.com/a/agro.uba.ar/granero.
